How can I pay for services?

Do I have access to customer portal for troubleshooting?

Yes, IT Place offers to its customers access to customer portal with the ability to track and create support tickets. View invoices and quotations on services.

Where are IT Place terms and hosting agreement ?

IT Support

How can IT Place help in my current IT setup ?

IT Place engineer will come onsite to assess the current IT setup of your business and if feasible will advise how to make most of your current setup based on the assessment and the current requirements of the business. We will be more than happy to advise if upgrades are required to the current system to improve your business efficiency.

I am going to start my new business, how IT Place can help?

Small or new businesses may require one or more computers, internet access, a working website and emails as initial setup for the business. IT Place can provide all the required technologies,  support and knowledge to your business no matter how big or small the requirements.

I am not aware of new technologies in the market that will suit my business, can I get help from IT Place?

Yes, our engineers are certified professionals who can assess your business requirements  and can advise on technologies that will help your business. Contact us for more information.

How will I be charged for support services?

IT Place offers very competitive  prices to its customers, our aim to provide quality IT support services at  low prices. We charge in hours (first hour of service is charged in 15 minutes slots). Some services are charged in slots of 15 minutes.

Businesses under service contract with IT Place will be charged according to the terms of the contract.

Note: There are no call out charges for customers in Ipswich region. Call out charges for other regions may vary.

Is support from IT Place on contract or on call basis?

Both, we can provide services on a fixed contract between IT Place and you. We are also available on call to businesses and home users.

Do you offer remote support?

Yes, all IT Place customers can download a file by clicking on "Remote Support" in the "Resources" section of the website below.

Can I get after hours service?

Yes, we provide after hours services  to our clients . We are also available on weekends and public holidays.

Note: There are no extra charges for customers in Ipswich region.

**We may, in our sole discretion, refuse to offer Services at any time.

Website Support

Who owns the domain name and website files and images?

Customer owns the domain name along with the contents of the website. You are free to move to another hosting provider if required after the end of the term with IT Place.

Can IT Place maintain my website?

Yes, we will be happy to maintain your website at the charge of $50.00 / month which includes updating CMS with security updates when available, updating content, backup of website and database before and after each major change to the website.

Please note IT Place cannot be held liable for any updates or contents published on the website.

I want to change the theme of my website after some time?

Customer should have good knowledge in web programming to change the themes of the website. We will charge in block of 15 minutes if customer requires IT Place to change the theme.

Please note: Customers have to pay extra for  a new template for CMS based dynamic websites plus the customisation of the template.

How can I update the contents of my website?

If IT Place is maintaing your website simply send us email with updated contents and we will do it for you. Otherwise, refer to documentation provided by IT Place during the setup of the website.

Content of cms based websites can be updated by logging on to the back-end of the website. All logon information will be send to customers via email during initial website setup.

How much time is required before my website is available?

Whole process will take from 2 - 4 weeks depending on the project.

  • Number of pages required.
  • Finalizing website layout and colours.
  • Testing on different browsers
  • SEO (Basic).
  • Publishing website on the internet.
  • Setting up email accounts (optional).

Is my website search engine friendly?

Yes, during initial setup of your website you will be able to add Meta description and Meta keywords for your website. This will allow search engines to find your website. If more accurate or related keywords for your business are used in your website in meta tags there will be more probability that your website will show in the top of the search engines.

How soon my hosting services will be activated ?

Normally your hosting account will be activated on the same day of the order, but due to unforseen circumstances account activation can take more than 2 days.

Domain transfers can take more than 1 week before new settings are recognized by DNS servers on the internet.

Can my staff get basic training from IT Place?

If required IT Place can provide basic training to your staff on how to update contents of the website. However, IT Place will not be held liable for any updates or contents published on the website.
